Clare Valley Vineyard

Mount Lofty Ranges Zone – South Australia

The town of Clare is situated 136km north of Adelaide.

Flat View Vineyard is situated 5kms from Clare's main street and is opposite South Australia's finest country racecourse in the beautiful Northern Clare Valley at Stanley Flat and has 36.4 hectares of planted vineyards.

The Stanley Flat area is the oldest grape producing area in the district and is sheltered by rising hills of the valley. The vineyards on this property were planted over 40 years ago utilising the excellent soil profiles of this site and the underground water supply for irrigation. Luckily the vineyards also face in an Easterly direction to make use of the sunlight.

The varieties here include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Merlot and Sangiovese. This mature vineyard produces premium quality grapes which produce outstanding high quality wines with the superb Clare Valley regional characteristics of rich and delicate flavours.

White Hut Vineyard is located in the Clare Valley and is 16.5 hectares. This is fully planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz vines in the area of low hills, north of Clare at Barinia 400 metres above sea level.

The area is blessed with a climate ideal for premium grape growing and the combination of consistently good winter rains, hot summers tempered by cool nights and long ripening periods, produces grapes with exceptional flavours and balance.

The best quality grapes from these vineyards are used in our Premium Regional Estate wines and to help boost our other wines to a superior level.
